Meet Selenga
"Good morning! I'm Selenga. Your tasks are ready for today! When you finish them all, a surprise is waiting for you this evening. Which task would you like to start with?"
Why Use a Daily Task Chart?
Structured days help children make the most of their summer break—keeping it both enjoyable and productive. When kids wake up knowing what's ahead, it reduces anxiety and builds confidence. This simple chart takes just 5 minutes to fill out each morning and makes a real difference in how the day flows.
What's on the Chart?
📖 TODAY I READ Choose a fairy tale, information book, or short story. Goal: at least 15 minutes of reading time.
🎨 TODAY I CREATE Coloring pages, drawing, rock painting, paper folding, or any hands-on art project.
🧠 TODAY I LEARN Math practice, word work, a science experiment, or discovering something completely new.
🏃 TODAY I MOVE Biking, running, swimming, playing outside, dancing, or taking a walk.
TODAY'S SURPRISE TASK You fill this one in—your child opens it after lunch!
How to Use It
- Open the chart together each morning
- Let your child choose which tasks to complete
- Check them off as the day goes on
- Review together at bedtime
- Color in completed days on a calendar
Common Questions
Do we have to finish everything? Not at all. Three tasks is wonderful. What matters is building the habit.
What if my child doesn't want to do the tasks? Give them choices. Ask, "Which task would you like to do first?" instead of telling them.
Where should we hang the chart? The refrigerator or your child's bedroom works best. Visibility matters.
A Note for Parents
Avoid linking the chart to rewards or punishment. Let motivation come from within. Each evening, ask, "Which task did you enjoy most today?" These conversations become the real treasure of your summer together.
